Georgetown Mill Supplies was started in 1972. The initial goal was to supply the International Paper Company and the Georgetown Steel Company, both located in Georgetown, SC, with industrial and maintenance supplies. During the first few years, we grew at a moderate rate. Then, in 1982, we opened a warehouse and office in Summerville, SC. The addition of this office allowed us to expand our services to the Charleston market.
We are a distributor of industrial and construction supplies. We buy finished products from manufacturers and resale the products to other manufacturers and contractors. Most of the products are consumable and sold repeatedly.
As of today, we still supply the International Paper Company and the Georgetown Steel Company with industrial and maintenance supplies. We also do business with other manufacturing and service companies in the Georgetown area. As new plants and industries move into Georgetown, our sales people quickly add them to our customer base. We believe that using a local company, such as ours, saves our clients time and money.
Our customer base extends to Florence, Darlington, Myrtle Beach and some parts of North Carolina.
Our Summerville office has built a customer base in an around the Charleston area. We supply contractors of all types and sizes. Some of our contractors projects have included; parking decks, bridges, docks, power plants, and the Ravenel Bridge.
Everyone on our staff has been with us for at least 15 years. You get experience and knowlege when you choose to do business with us.
